Mars World Map
GEOLOGICAL CONTACTS & CRATER DENSITY OF MARS
In the first image, the map showcases all of the geologic units present on Mars. These geologic units help us see the lithology of Mars and they also give us a general idea of the terrain and elevation of Mars through interpreting the lithology. The map also shows us dried up stream beds that are present throughout Mars. This map is important for our site analysis
because it allows us to analyze the terrain of the area that we want to potentially colonize or conduct research in.
The second image depicts the craters that are present on Mars. The map shows all of the impact and volcanic craters that have hit the surface of Mars. This map is important for our site analysis because it allows us to view areas on Mars that have been impacted by craters so that we can find suitable areas for our ideal sites and areas where we can conduct research.
