Ultimately, through the use of crater data, geologic unit information, and elevation data, we are able to determine that certain regions on Mars are suitable for future colonization as evidenced by the Alpha site. If we were to continue this project in the future, we can further our research by looking at other factors such as stream bed data, atmospheric composition and circulation data, and seismic activity data to hone in on specific areas that meet our ideal standards for future colonization.
